Trolls have long been running rampant in this forum and have recently escalated their activity level to the point of me pulling out my hair and as a result, falsely diagnosed of trichotillomania.
How to get rid of trolls?
Create an “Introduce yourself” section.
Newly registered members do not have the privilege to post threads in other sections of the forum unless they post a specific phrase in the “Introduce yourself” section under a common thread, such as “I allege to not be a troll or I will get kicked in the nuts.” The sentence posted must precisely match what the moderator has posted on the very first post of the thread.
Moderators then scheme through such thread, once a week or so and grant access to newcomers, and only then can they post in other threads. I would imagine it generates less work than what moderators currently spend on deleting threads made by trolls.
“Introduce yourself” section does not show up on the “recent forum discussion” banner.
