I agree with many of the comments posted here. The issue of strengthening the doctor’s role in shaping the health care system in the US is very important. Unionization, as already pointed out, would help doctors protect their incomes and financial future; it would also allow doctors to more directly set an agenda for seeing and treating patients in the most comprehensive and fiscally responsible way possible. For many years, the majority of people quoted in newspaper articles on healthcare have been politicians, lawyers and business administrators. When did healthcare stop being about the patient and the healthcare provider? We need to be proactive, or motivated people with no clue about what it requires to provide exceptional healthcare will ruin it, for everyone.

I would recommend reading Ayn Rand’s “The Virtue of Selfishness”.

You need to read some nonfiction Ayn Rand like “The Virtue of Selfishness” and learn how to sift through bullshit ideas.
speaking of ideas, didn’t you post about the utility of monkey head transplants? and weren’t you the 19 year old posting up your own CT scans on here?

You can’t say someone is wrong on topic A just because he was foolish about topic B. A lot of what he said is very true. As the Greenspan run fed artificially lowered interest rates, it encouraged people to buy when the wisest thing to do was not to buy. Fed lowering interest rates = lots of money creation = inflation = the value of your dollar going down. If the $1000 in your bank today is going to be worth $900 tomorrow, it encourages you to spend it today and discourages you to save. (keep in mind the opposite *can* also be dangerous) The market is far too complex for a small group of people to manipulate it correctly. Of course, the government doesn’t want to stop inflation because it is in their best interest. As they inflate, the effective value of foreign debt goes down. The result? Theft, in my honest opinion. China is rightfully starting to get mad about this. See the source below.
