I am currently in the process of a literature review for a manuscript and one of the articles is in German. I have already translated the majority of it by myself using Google Translate and German-English Medical Dictionaries. However, I am struggling with a few words/phrases. It is a neurosurgical case so part of the problem is that standard medical dictionaries don’t include some of the more technical neuroanatomical terms.

Does anyone have any suggestions? What is standard operating protocol for including a paper in a lit review when it is written in another language?

I did that for a paper too and used http://dict.tu-chemnitz.de/ for translations and it really worked out well. As for citation, I used what the journal requested and you should just list it with the German title and its journal. Hope this helps.
